TECH LANE GHENT is the new business park in the south of Ghent, along the E40 highway. Together with the 14-hectare Eiland Zwijnaarde, the 21-hectare Technology Park Ardoyen is being repositioned as 'Tech Lane Ghent Science Park'. The site accommodates knowledge-intensive companies in sectors such as IT, life sciences, materials research and logistics. The Technology Park currently houses 60 research-oriented companies, which together employ about 1,700 people. An 8-hectare business park for water-related logistics, called 'Tech Lane Ghent Logistics', will be set up along the Scheldt and the Ringvaart canal. With the development of a bimodal port platform in the south of Ghent, the city also wants to further build on sustainable mobility and logistics.
